We hope that you have remained safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. We have missed seeing your smiling faces and helping you continue to have excellent oral health. As we all navigate the new realities of dealing with the Covid-19 Pandemic, we wanted to inform you of changes in our protocol that are designed for your safety, the safety of our staff and the safety of society as a whole.
Please note: If you or someone you have had close contact with has been ill and/or tested positive or thinks they were exposed to Covid-19, please let us know. You will be rescheduled, however, we will put you at the top of our list for the next appointment and make sure all of your needs are accommodated.
Covid-19 has impacted the Global society in a multitude of ways. There are many unknowns about this disease seeing as how it is possible to acquire it from virtually anywhere from anyone due to the fact that a certain percentage of carriers are asymptomatic (i.e.: have no symptoms) but others who are infected, there are signs including fever. Our office has implemented a series of safety and precautionary measures to curb spread of this contagious disease.
We have pivoted to performing Teledentistry for consultations and routine examinations including fielding limited examination procedures. For more information please click here. We are very aware that our patients need fillings, root canals and cleaning from your hygienist.
Please refer to our two-minute reopening video by Dr. Paxton demonstrating what the process will be when you arrive to the office click here. For those that would like to read the basic information:
When you call to schedule an appointment, if applicable, you will be scheduled for a teledentistry appointment with one of our Dentists for an exam via Zoom (scheduling software). Our Office Administrators will assist you with doing so if you require assistance. At this point, we will verify your insurance.
Two days prior to your appointment, you will be asked a series of questions pertaining to your current and past recent health including those of family members. Please be honest, we ask you these questions for the safety of you as well as those of our staff and other patients.
Please note that you must arrive by yourself for the appointment; no friends or relatives. There are no chairs for guests to sit in the operatories at this time.
The day of your appointment, you will call us at (810) 750-3600 to tell us you have arrived at your appointment. You will be then asked further health questions.
A Team Member will come to your vehicle and take your temperature using a non-invasive temporal thermometer. You must wear a face covering or a mask prior to a team member interacting with you. If you have a fever, you will be rescheduled for two weeks later (you will be put at the top of our list and you will be seen ASAP).
A face covering or mask is mandatory. If you choose to not wear one, you will not be seen by our office at your scheduled appointment time.
Once your temperature is taken and it is verified that you currently do not have a fever, you will be allowed into the building for your appointment. You will be escorted to the room for your treatment to commence.
Only when prompted by one of our team-members will you be asked to remove your facial covering or mask. Please refrain from engaging in a conversation with staff at this point without a facial covering or mask.
You will use a rinse to disinfect your mouth and we will use proper medical supplies to limit potential aerosols created.
Once your treatment is completed, you will be escorted to check-out to pay for the services rendered. You may choose a touch-less transaction and pay by credit card or pay by check (you may fill this out prior).
If you become Covid-19 positive within 14 days of being seen at our office please contact us immediately.
While things may work a little differently, we are very confident our staff and protocols will provide the safest surgical environment for you, our patient. We have worked hard to develop these comprehensive protocols and steps. We will keep this updated if any changes should occur.
